Information Use and Collection
HobbyFob respects the privacy of our customers. We will not sell, share, license, rent or disclose information collected on this site to any outside parties except as outlined in this policy. We are not in the information business, and neither do we want to be. As part of normal business operations, we may collect the following information:
- We collect customer information to process orders and to keep you informed of your account and order status. Information collected includes your name, shipping address, billing address, telephone numbers, email address and payment information including credit card number. In order to process your order, we must share this information with the merchant bank for credit card authorization. We may also use this information to contact you in case we encounter an order processing problem.
- In order to provide you with better service, we offer account and order tracking. In order to do so, we require registration using a user name and password.
- Should you elect to receive any newsletters or special promotions from us, your contact information will be used for this purpose.
Cookies
The HobbyFob site requires the use of cookies in order to accept and process orders. The shopping cart can not function without the use of cookies. Orders can not be taken if you disable cookies. We may also tailor our web site to give you a better experience by using cookies. We will not share any information provided by cookies to third parties.
Log Files
We use information to analyze our marketing, site usage and customer demographics to better serve you. This information may include IP addresses, your internet service provider and site usage. This information is not linked to your personal information and you will not be personally identifiable. This information will not be shared with third parties.
Additional Third Party Services
For some services we provide you, we employ third parties to provide these services. These include order fulfillment, shipping, customer service and credit processing. Some information is shared with these parties in order to provide you with these services and is limited to these uses only. The third party service provider’s privacy policy applies to the information shared to them.
In the future, we may acquire or sell business units or subsidiaries. In that event, customer information would be transferred, but your personal information would only be used in a manner consistent with our pre-existing Privacy Notice. We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law, investigation, subpoena, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
Security
HobbyFob takes security seriously and takes the steps necessary to protect its customers' sensitive information. Sensitive information collected online is protected and encrypted via Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL. Information collected offline is protected physically or destroyed. Access to this data is limited to those whose jobs require it and on a need to know basis.
Our data storage of personal information is secure; however, you may opt to have your financial information deleted from our records upon completion of your order. You may also contact us at service@hobbyfob.com to have your financial information deleted from our database. For future transactions, you will be required to re-enter your information.
Correction/Updating/Reviewing Personal Information
You may change or review your account information at any time through My Account. You must have your username and password in order to access your account.
Choice/Opt-out
Customers will have the option to not receive updates, news and special offers from HobbyFob by electing to opt-out. Customers can opt-out by selecting/unselecting the appropriate box at time of order processing. Due to the rising torrent of email fraud, we will also include instructions in our emails on how to manually opt-out. We will not send a link within our emails offering to opt-out. If you see an email purportedly from us offering to opt-out via a link, think again; it’s not from us.
